Ingredients
- 16 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 green onions, chopped (use both white and green parts)
- 1 tbs. garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- Juice from 1 lime
- Zest from 1/2 a lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In medium bowl, mash cream cheese. Add onions, garlic powder, cheddar cheese, lime, lime zest, salt and pepper. Mix well (using your hands is easier than a spoon) and shape into a ball. Serve with crackers, carrots, celery sticks, broccoli trees or spread over whole wheat toast.
Tips
- This is great as a midday snack for your toddler.
- For the adult version, roll the cheese ball in crushed walnuts.
- For a reduced fat version, use low fat cream cheese.
